The Master in Criminalistics (Kriminalistika) - specialist studies programme at FON University (Faculty of Detectives and Security (Fakultet za detektivi i bezbednost)) is a Master (specialist professional second-cycle studies; 60 ECTS one-year master) program delivered in Macedonian over a duration of 1 year / 2 semesters (one-year second-cycle studies per official 2026/27 call) (60). This programme focuses on forensic crime scene investigation, physical evidence analysis, forensic ballistics, fingerprint analysis, and forensic trace evidence. Students learn state-of-the-art forensic laboratory procedures and legal chain of custody. Graduates work in forensic science laboratories and criminal investigation units.

Instruction in Macedonian language (official 2026/27 call; mobility windows in other languages possible depending on student choice/interest). No specific language certificate minimum published for second-cycle entry. Foreign citizens enroll under the same conditions; foreign citizens enrolling for the first time must prove language proficiency at minimum B2 level or may take the AUE-FON language exam / attend the Language and Academic Preparation Program.
Completed first-cycle studies in appropriate or related fields with at least 180 ECTS credits (entry to specialist second-cycle studies) or at least 240 ECTS credits / VII-1 education level (entry to master's second-cycle studies), plus conditions of the study programme. Applicants with foreign diplomas need a Ministry of Education and Science decision on recognition of the foreign qualification (nostrification).
Application form (Priyaven list); diploma/certificate of completed first-cycle studies; birth certificate extract; citizenship certificate/decision; proof of payment of first installment of annual tuition; three photos 3.5 x 4.5 cm. Foreign-educated applicants: MoES nostrification decision plus documents on which recognition was based, in original with notarized Macedonian translation. All documents submitted in original, Monday-Friday 09:00-15:00 at AUE-FON (bul. Kiro Gligorov 5, Skopje).
