The Surface Mining (Povrshinska eksploatacija) programme at Goce Delcev University in Shtip (Faculty of Natural and Technical Sciences) is a Master's degree - second cycle academic studies (60 ECTS) program delivered in Macedonian over a duration of 1 year / 2 semesters (60 ECTS) (60). This programme specialises in open-pit and surface mining methods, covering excavation planning, drilling and blasting, earth-moving equipment selection, slope stability, and environmental reclamation of mined lands. All applicants must submit proof of English language knowledge (certificate from an authorized institution or confirmation from the Institute of Languages at the Faculty of Philology, UGD Shtip; original or notarized copy). Instruction is in Macedonian; no Macedonian language certificate is required.
Completed first-cycle (bachelor) studies of 4 years with at least 240 ECTS in a compatible field. Each UGD unit determines which first-cycle programmes are compatible; candidates from other fields may be required to pass differential exams at the start of studies. Foreign diplomas require recognition (resenie) by the Ministry of Education and Science. Foreign citizens enroll under equal conditions as Macedonian citizens.

Documents delivered in person by 1 October 2026 to the Student Affairs Office for second cycle, Faculty of Law, Kej Marshal Tito bb, Shtip. For enrollment (19-23 October 2026): index, application sheets (pink sheet, semester sheet), 2 payments of 50 MKD administrative fee, student insurance (min. 150 MKD), proof of tuition payment, 3 photos (2 of 6x9, 1 of 4x5), study contract.
