The Traducere și interpretare de conferințe (limba engleză) — Conference Translation and Interpreting (English) programme at Moldova State University (Facultatea de Litere (Faculty of Letters)) is a Master's Degree (Ciclul II, studii superioare de master) program delivered in English over a duration of 2 years (120 ECTS). This programme provides advanced training in professional translation, covering specialised translation in legal, technical, medical, and business domains. Students develop skills in computer-assisted translation tools, terminology management, and quality assurance in translation workflows. Minimum B2 CEFR in the language of instruction for programmes organized in languages of international circulation (Regulament STI 2026 §2.2.4, §3.3): proven via recognized international certificates (TOEFL, Cambridge, IELTS etc.), prior study documents, or a USM-organized test/interview. Enrollment in Romanian-taught programmes additionally requires Ministry of Education and Research (MEC) permission (§3.2).
Bachelor's diploma (Cycle I) or equivalent recognized/equivalated by the competent Moldovan authorities (apostilled/superlegalized + legalized translation); complete candidature dossier in two stages (online dossier + originals/enrollment); applicant must meet academic and linguistic conditions of the programme (Regulament STI 2026 §2.3.1). Minimum 10 enrolled students per language group required to open the track, otherwise transfer to a related programme is proposed (§10.1). No minimum GPA and no entrance exam officially published.
Online stage (§2.3.5): enrollment form; passport copy valid for the whole study period; birth certificate copy; previous-cycle study documents (bachelor diploma); diploma supplement/academic record; language competence certificate; CV (where applicable); declaration on veracity of documents; valid criminal record; proof of dossier processing fee payment; proof of financial means of min EUR 6,000; other documents requested by the faculty. Study.usm.md checklist adds: marriage certificate copy (if applicable, legalized translation), color photos 3×4 cm and 4×5 cm — 4 pieces each, foreign-student survey, MPay admission-fee receipt; translations into Romanian, Russian or English. After acceptance (§2.3.8): proof of tuition payment for first AND last year + 12 months hostel. At enrollment (§2.3.9): originals of all documents, apostille/superlegalization, legalized translations, D/AS visa, medical certificate (where applicable).
