Bachelor's degree in music (first cycle). Applicants whose first cycle is in a non-music field must present a professional portfolio proving at least one year of professional experience at the admission interview. Entrance examination (symphony orchestra conducting): conduct a large-scale symphony performed on two pianos — e.g. Mussorgsky/Ravel Pictures at an Exhibition; Rimsky-Korsakov Scheherazade; Tchaikovsky Symphony No. 4, 5 or 6; Beethoven Symphony No. 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7; Brahms Symphony No. 1, 2, 3 or 4, or a piece of similar volume. Applicants from other HEIs submit the conducting programme by video link. Motivational interview: symphony orchestra scores/instruments, musical ear (intervals, chords), harmony and solfeggio. Admission score (max 10) = entrance examination 0.6 + motivational interview 0.2 + Bachelor's Diploma Supplement grade average 0.2 (2026 Admission Rules §25). LMTA Bachelor graduates of 2026 in the same specialisation are exempt from the performance exam — the Bachelor's final art project is counted instead.
